The Knuthenborg Safari Park


The Knuthenborg Safari Park on Lolland has a drive-through range where you can rubberneck at tigers, zebras, rhinoceroses, and giraffes, and pet camels, goats and ponies. Besides seeing 20 species of animals, children can also play in Miniworld, which has a jungle gym, a minitrain , and other rides  Knuthenborg Safaripark , Dk-4930 Maribo , tel. 53/88-80-89 Admission: DKr58 adults , DKr29 children. BonBon Land


BonBon land, in the tiny southern Sjælland town of Holme Olstrup , attracts thousands of children  and their parents every  day . In fact, it it ranks among the most visited attraction in the country , especially popular with the Danes themselves. Filled with rides and friendly costumed grownups, the park is an old –fashioned playland, with a few eating  and drinking establishments thrown  in for adults. Between Rønnede and Næstved, 40 min south of copenhagen. Take the train to Næstved, and bus 76 to the entrance. Tel. 53/76-26-00 or 56/76-33-00. Admission : DKr68, DKr78 during  the high season ; children under 90 centimeters (35.4 inches) tall free. The Center of the Middle Ages




The Center of the Middle Ages, on the island of Lolland , is similar to the Lejre Forsøcenter (see Tour 1, above ), except  that here the focus is on the Middle Ages. Especially geared toward children, the center invites school classes to dress up in period costumes and experience life from a millennium ago. Day guests can participate in activities which change weekly-from cooking to medieval knife making to animal herding and, on weekends, folk dances and other cultural happenings.
